Welcome to Paint Works Art Therapy.
Opening in September!
Supporting emotional well-being through the power of art & self-expression.
What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy (AT) is a gentle, creative approach to healing that combines the process of making art with psychotherapy. It offers a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in ways that may be difficult to express with words alone.
What is involved in Art therapy?
During a session, you are invited to use a variety of art materials to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, supportive environment. No artistic experience is needed—the focus is on the creative process rather than the finished artwork.
Together, we can reflect on the artwork to foster self-awareness, process emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Who can benefit from art therapy?
Art therapy can support young adults and older adults who are navigating life's challenges, changes, and transitions. It may be helpful for those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief , trauma, relationship difficulties, or major life changes. Art therapy also provides a creative space for self-exploration, emotional expression, and personal growth. No artistic experience or ability is needed!
